Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is a public collegiate university at the state level, founded in 2000. Previously known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is recognized as a ‘University of National Importance’, particularly for its undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering and Science.
