Birsa Agricultural University is a state-run institution established in 1981 in Ranchi. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University provides undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD, diploma, and certificate programs across various fields, including Agriculture, Forestry, Biotechnology, Horticulture, Dairy Technology, and more. Additionally, it offers an Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) program, which is sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology to attract talent to the field of Science. The University comprises a total of 12 constituent colleges, such as the College for Bio-Technology, College of Fisheries Science, Agriculture College, Tilka Manjhi Agriculture College, College of Horticulture, and others.
It also offers e-learning resources to students through partnerships with ISRO, IndianJournals.com, Virtual Labs, e-GRANTH, Science Direct, e-Agriculture, and more.
