The Central University of Jammu, commonly referred to as CU JAMMU, was founded in 2011 under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No 25 of 2009 in conjunction with the Central Universities Act, 2009). This central university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It has received a “B++” Grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is sanctioned by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
