College of Engineering, Anna University

CEG College was founded in 1794 as a School of Survey. This institution evolved into the Civil Engineering School, and ultimately, in 1859, CEG College was established under the Madras University. In 1978, Perarignar Anna University of Technology (PAUT) was created, leading to the formation of Anna University, which comprises four constituent colleges. Among these is the College of Engineering, Guindy. CEG Anna University offers a range of UG, PG, MPhil, and other courses through its various departments, covering fields such as Engineering, Information Technology, and more. According to NIRF 2024, Anna University is ranked 14th in the Engineering category.
