Dibrugarh University in Assam was founded in 1965 under the Dibrugarh University Act, enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. Situated in Rajabheta, Dibrugarh, Assam, it is a state-level public university. The university is recognized by the UGC and has received acknowledgment from various organizations, including the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), among others. Furthermore, Dibrugarh University achieved accreditation from the NAAC Foundation with a grade of ‘B++’ in 2023. It ranked in the band 101-150 in the NIRF 2023 Rankings for the university (overall) category. In addition, NIRF placed the university 33rd in the pharmacy category in 2023. The institution is also certified with ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 50001: 2018.
