Commonly referred to as YSP University (YSPU), Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry is a renowned institution located in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The university is named in honor of the first Chief Minister of the state and offers higher education, research, and extension education in Horticulture, Forestry, and related fields. The origins of YSPU trace back to the Himachal Agricultural College (1962), which was affiliated with Panjab University. It was granted university status and its current name in 1985. YSPU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
YSP University comprises four constituent colleges that provide two undergraduate, two postgraduate, and one doctoral program across various specializations.
