Established in 2011, Guru Kashi University was founded by the Government of Punjab through Act no 37 of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Located in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Punjab, GKU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the Bar Council of India (BCI), and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Guru Kashi University has received accreditation from NAAC with an A++ grade. GKU is the sole private university in the Malwa region accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for BSc Agriculture (Hons) by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.
Spanning over 100 acres of a lush green campus, the university offers top-notch infrastructure and facilities, including a library, sports complex, cafeteria, and more. The library currently houses a collection of over 54,000 books and 100 journals. GKU provides separate hostels for boys and girls, accommodating more than 7,000 students. Guru Kashi University has been accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. GKU offers over 100 courses across 16 streams at UG, PG, and PhD levels, supported by more than 300 faculty members.
