Founded in 2008, IISER Bhopal is an autonomous institution that confers degrees and has been designated as an ‘Institute of National Importance’ by the Government of India. IISER Bhopal provides programs such as BS, BS-MS (dual degree), integrated PhD (iPhD), and PhD for aspiring students. The institute features three Centres of Excellence: the Center for Research on Environment and Sustainable Technologies (CREST), the Centre for Research in Advanced Technology for Education in Science (CREATES), and the Centre for Science and Society (CS2).
