Indian Institute of Forest Management

IIFM Bhopal was founded in 1982 as an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The establishment of the institute was a response to the recommendations made by the National Commission on Agriculture. The momentum generated by these suggestions led to a partnership with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, which helped shape the philosophy and purpose of IIFM.

IIFM is recognized for providing training in Management and related fields. Several programs offered by IIFM Bhopal have received approval from AICTE, and the institute has been accredited with an A+ Grade by NAAC. The Swedish International Development Agency also played a significant role in providing financial and technical support for the establishment of the Institute.
