The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, elevated IHM Bhopal from a Food Craft Institute to an 'Institute of Hotel Management' in 1986. In collaboration with IGNOU, IHM Bhopal provides a two-year MSc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, a three-year BSc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, and a B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration (Vegetarian Cuisine). The Institute of Hotel Management Bhopal also offers a Craftsmanship certificate course in Food Production & Patisserie.
