Islamic University of Science and Technology

Established in 2005, the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) is a public university located in the Pulwama region of Jammu & Kashmir. Founded by the J&K state government, it holds a Grade ‘B’ accreditation from NAAC and is officially recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act. All technical and nursing programs offered by IUST have received approval from the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

IUST maintains strong partnerships with several esteemed institutions, including the United Nations University of Peace in Costa Rica, Delhi University, the University of Kashmir, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, to promote technical, academic, and cultural exchanges. The university consists of five schools encompassing 18 departments and colleges that provide 11 doctoral programs, 14 postgraduate programs, 13 undergraduate programs, three diploma courses, and one certificate course in the Arabic language.
