Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Bengaluru (MAHE Bengaluru) is a private university situated in Govindapura, Bangalore. Established in 1953 by Dr. Tonse Madhava Ananth Pai, the university has received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A grade and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). MAHE Bengaluru attained the status of a Deemed University in June 1993. The university began its journey with the founding of the country’s first public-private sector medical college.
