Founded in 1998, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was India's first Minister of Education, a freedom fighter during the independence movement, and a prominent scholar of Islam and Urdu literature. The university's mission is to promote and enhance the Urdu language while providing education and training in vocational and technical fields through various programs. MANUU Hyderabad University is recognized by the UGC and has received an A grade accreditation from NAAC.
Maulana Azad University consists of 7 schools that encompass over 20 departments offering master's programs and research opportunities.
