NIE Institute of Technology

Founded in 1946, The National Institute of Engineering (The NIE), Mysuru, is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and holds accreditation from the NAAC. In 2007, the NIE was granted autonomous status by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It is one of the 14 institutions acknowledged under the MHRD and the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) throughout Karnataka, with all 11 departments operating as individual research centers under VTU.

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) has achieved Tier-1 accreditation from The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is qualified to obtain recognition for its programs from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the US, and the UK. The Institute provides a range of Engineering programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
