Ranchi University

Ranchi University was founded in 1960 with the aim of providing quality education in the state of Jharkhand. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission. The University is also accredited by NAAC with a Grade ‘B++’ and is a member of AIU. Recently, it was ranked 95 for 'Overall University Performance' by the QS Rankings 2020. Currently, the University has 23 post-graduate departments, 15 constituent colleges, and 49 affiliated colleges, offering education in various fields.

Ranchi University provides UG and PG courses in disciplines such as Medicine, Psychiatry, Law, Engineering, and Business Management, among others. The University has fully operational units of NSS and NCC in its colleges. It also encourages sports and physical fitness by organizing inter-university tournaments. Youth festivals are regularly conducted at both the college and university levels.
