Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology (SVBP University) was founded in 2000 under the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act. Situated in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the University proudly holds the title of being the “First Agriculture University of the third millennium and the 21st century." It is recognized and supported by the U.P. Government and ICAR, Government of India. SVBP University is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, and provides degree and diploma programs in the fields of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Veterinary Science at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels. The University plays a crucial role in agriculture-related advancements across four major divisions of Uttar Pradesh: Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad, and Bareilly. Admission to the University is based on the scores achieved in UPCATET.
