The Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies was founded in 2009 as the Faculty of Business Administration and Computer Applications under MRIIRS and was later renamed to better represent its true essence. This School focuses on education in Commerce and Business Management, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs such as BBA, BCom (Hons), MCom, and PhD.
A key unique selling point (USP) of this School under MRIIRS is its BBA (Global) in International Business, developed in collaboration with AIS New Zealand / Nottingham Trent University, as well as the BBA program (IBM) in partnership with the University of Newcastle, Australia. Students admitted to these courses are required to spend a designated amount of time at the partner university.
To enhance the relevance of its Business Studies programs in line with industry demands, the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies has established partnerships and collaborations with several knowledge partners, including KPMG, ICICI Direct, and the Bombay Stock Exchange Institute. These collaborations not only provide students with access to a broader range of knowledge but also offer professional modules aimed at improving employability prospects across various study programs. Additionally, this school conducts a special Enrichment Lecture Series Programme (ELSP) beyond regular classes to expose students to current issues and interdisciplinary interests.
