Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT) is the largest private educational institution operating under the vision of Techno India, which was established in 1999. SIT is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and is recognized by AICTE. According to the Outlook 2024 ranking, the institute is listed among the top 113 management colleges. NAAC has granted the institute a grade 'B'. Siliguri Institute of Technology has entered into various MoUs with Garuda Aerospace Private Limited, Eastern College of Engineering (ECEB), National Entrepreneurship Network, Sister Nivedita University, Pernnation Computer Solutions Global Private Limited (PCS GLOBAL), RG Technologies, AIC T HUB, Ardent Computech Private Limited, and Edu Skills Foundation, among others.

Siliguri Institute of Technology provides a BTech/BE program in over 7 specializations and a BSc program in more than 5 specializations. Admission to the BE/BTech program at SIT Siliguri is based on WBJEE and JEE Mains scores. For BMLT admissions, the institute takes into account the WBCHSE and JENPAS UG scores.
