SNDT College

Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women’s University is recognized as the first Women’s University in India. Established by Maharishi Dr. Dhondo Keshav in 1916, the University aims to advance women’s education. It is UGC-approved and has received a Grade ‘A’ reaccreditation from the NAAC. The main campus is located in Churchgate, South Mumbai, with three additional campuses situated in

1. Santacruz-Juhu, West Mumbai,
2. Karve Road, Pune, and
3. Shrivardhan campus

Approximately 307 colleges are affiliated with SNDT Women’s University, with several located in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. In 2022, SNDT entered into an International Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cuny Crest Institute- New York, Bronx Community College of the City University- New York, and Borough of Manhattan Community College University- New York, to foster academic collaboration. SNDT Mumbai also provides a Centre for Distance Education (CDE) offering Certificate, Diploma, Degree, and Post Graduate courses across various fields.

SNDT University provides Certification, UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programs in diverse disciplines through its affiliated colleges. The Juhu campus of SNDT also accommodates professional and technical institutions, including eight colleges such as Usha Mittal Institute of Technology, C U Shah College of Pharmacy, Premila Vithaldas Polytechnic, Bhartiya Gyan-Sanskrit Evam Yog Kendra, Centre for Distance Education, and Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. The Juhu Campus of SNDT Women’s University features a vibrant infrastructure, which includes hostels for both boys and girls, a cafeteria, a bank, a language laboratory, an ATM, a healthcare facility, and a library.
