Tripura University

Tripura University began as a Post-Graduate Wing of Calcutta University in 1976 and transitioned into a full-fledged state university in 1987. In 2007, it was designated as a Central University. Currently, there are forty-four departments, two faculties, and four Centres of Study, in addition to the four departments under the Directorate of Distance Education. The Central University of Tripura has received a B++ Grade accreditation from NAAC. Tripura Central University offers a total of 114 programmes, which include 41 PhD courses, 60 PG courses, 7 UG courses, and 6 Postgraduate Diploma courses. These programmes span across various fields, including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and more.
