UPES

Founded under the UPES Act of 2003 by the State Legislature of Uttarakhand, UPES is a highly regarded private university recognized by the UGC. On an international scale, UPES holds a ranking of 801-850 in the QS World University Rankings 2025 within the 'World University' category. According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023, issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, UPES has achieved a rank of 52, along with a 54 ranking in engineering and a 39 ranking in management. Furthermore, the university has been recognized as the No. 1 private university in academic reputation in India by the QS World University Rankings 2024 and is positioned among the top 3% of universities globally. UPES has also received accreditation from NAAC with a grade ‘A’ and has been awarded 5 stars for Employability (placements) by the renowned QS Rating. The university has achieved 100% placements over the past five years.
