Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, previously known as UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, is a public medical school and research university situated in Saifai, within the Etawah District of Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 2005, the university comprises four colleges: the College of Nursing, Pharmacy College Saifai, Paramedical Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, and the College of Dentistry. It features 32 departments that provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses.
The university operates a comprehensive Medical College, a postgraduate Dental College, a Paramedical College, a Nursing College, a Pharmacy College, a multi-specialty hospital with 850 beds, and a trauma and burn center with 150 beds. Additionally, the Government of Uttar Pradesh is in the process of establishing a 500-bedded super specialty hospital and a 300-bedded hospital for Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics within the university.
