1. HRIP

HRIP stands for "Human Resources Information Program". The certification is provided by the International Association of Human Resources Information Management. The HRIP certification teaches professionals about technology and trends of HRIS.
To achieve the certification, you earn 60 credit hours of education and a final test. The test has 90 questions. The certification lasts three years, and then you can sit for the test to acquire recertification.

2. PHR

PHR is "Professional in Human Resources." The certification is offered by the HR Certification Institute. It includes training in general HRIS concerns, technology, laws, regulations and HR personnel responsibilities.
To be eligible to take this exam, having a minimum of one year of experience in an HR role and a master's degree or a minimum of two years of experience in a professional-level HR role and a bachelor's degree or a minimum of four years of experience in an HR role are the requirements. The exam contains 90 questions, and it is mandatory to get 60 credit hours before appearing for the exam.

3. PHRI

PHRi is "Professional in Human Resources International". This certification is also offered by the HR Certification Institute. It is the same as the PHR certification, but it addresses HRIS in international companies.
To be eligible for this exam, it is necessary to possess one year of experience in an HR role and a master's degree, two years of experience in an HR role and a bachelor's degree or four years of experience in an HR role. The exam consists of 90 questions, and it is necessary to finish 60 credit hours before appearing for the exam.

4. SHRM-CP

This certification is provided by the Society for Human Resource Management to obtain a certified professional in HRIS. This certification provides some operating knowledge in HRIS to professionals who apply policies and conduct other different HR activities.
To be eligible for this exam, one must have a master's degree and at least one year of experience in an HR role, or at least two years of experience in an HR role and a bachelor's degree, or at least four years of experience in an HR role. One can also deduct one year from the requirement of experience if one holds an HR-related degree.

5. SHRM-SCP

The Society for Human Resource Management provides this certification to become senior certified in human resources information systems (HRIS). This certification also provides some operational expertise in HRIS for the professionals who design policies and carry out other different HR functions but provides some extra knowledge of senior-level HR functions, such as the implementation of organizational HR strategies.
To be eligible for this examination, it is required to have a master's degree and at least four years of experience in an HR role or at least five years of experience in an HR role and a bachelor's degree or a minimum of seven years of experience in an HR role. You may also deduct one year from the experience requirement if you have a degree in HR.
