The Commissionerate of Higher Education has officially announced a revision to the Phase I counselling schedule for the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) 2026. Candidates who have yet to complete their registration process are now provided with a final opportunity, as the deadline for online registration and fee payment has been extended to October 1, 2026.
This latest update follows a series of adjustments to the admission timeline. With the registration window closing today, eligible candidates are encouraged to finalize their applications promptly to participate in the seat allotment process for the current academic year. The counselling process is a critical step for students seeking admission into postgraduate engineering programs across the state.
Following the registration phase, the window for exercising web options remains open until October 4, 2026. Candidates who have successfully registered are required to log in to the official portal at cap.apcfss.in to select their preferred colleges and courses. For those who may need to adjust their initial selections, the facility to change or edit web options is scheduled to become available on October 5, 2026.
The verification of uploaded certificates at designated helpline centers is currently ongoing and will continue through October 3, 2026. Once the web-option process concludes and the data is processed, the authorities will release the seat allotment results on October 9, 2026. Following the announcement of results, students will be required to complete the self-joining and college reporting process between October 10 and October 14, 2026.
The 2026 admission cycle features a significant network of institutions, with a total of 310 colleges participating in the web counselling process. The state-wide seat intake for this year’s AP PGECET allotment stands at 16,098 seats, distributed across 177 distinct courses. Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal regularly for any further updates regarding the seat allotment or subsequent phases of the counselling process.
