Assam NEET UG 2026: Stray Round Counselling Registration Opens

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has officially opened the registration portal for the stray round of the NEET UG 2026 counselling process. This phase is intended for candidates seeking admission into MBBS and BDS programmes across various medical colleges within the state.

Interested students are required to complete their registration through the official website at dme.assam.gov.in. The deadline for submitting applications for this final round of counselling is set for October 17, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

Assam NEET UG Counselling Stray Round Schedule

Following the registration period, the counselling process will proceed to the choice filling and locking stages. Candidates who have successfully registered will be able to submit their preferred choices starting from October 18. This window for choice filling will remain open until October 19, 2026, at 10 PM. Subsequently, the system will allow for choice locking on October 19, between 5 PM and 11:59 PM.

Once the preference submission process concludes, the DME will process the data to determine seat allocations. The official seat allotment results for the stray round are scheduled to be announced on October 21, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats during this round will be required to complete the reporting and joining formalities at their respective institutions between October 25 and October 26, 2026.
