The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to announce the Class 12 supplementary results for 2026 in August, following the completion of supplementary examinations held on July 28, 2026. Approximately 1.63 lakh students participated in these compartment exams, which are designed for those who did not pass their initial assessments. While the board has yet to confirm an official date or time for the results, students are advised to stay updated as the announcement approaches.Students will be able to access their results through several online platforms, including cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbse.gov.in. To retrieve their results, candidates will need to provide their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth. Additionally, results will be available via the DigiLocker and UMANG app, ensuring that students have multiple avenues to check their performance.Historically, CBSE has released compartment results within two to three weeks following the exams. For instance, in 2025, the supplementary exams took place on July 15, and results were published on August 1. Given this timeline, the 2026 supplementary results are expected to be released in the second week of August, aligning with previous years' patterns.The main CBSE Class 12 results for 2026 were declared on May 13, with an overall pass percentage of 85.20 percent. To successfully pass the supplementary exams, students must achieve a minimum of 33 percent in each subject. It is important to note that practical and internal assessment marks from the main examinations are carried over and are not subject to reassessment during the supplementary process.Students who successfully clear the supplementary exams will receive a revised marksheet indicating their pass status, which is accepted by colleges for admission purposes. Those who do not pass in their first attempt have the opportunity to retake the exam as private candidates in the February-April 2027 board cycle, with a final attempt available in the July-August 2027 supplementary cycle. Students who fail to clear the subject after three attempts will be classified as Essential Repeat candidates.
