CMAT 2027 Registration Expected to Commence in October: Exam Date Confirmed

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to initiate the registration process for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2027. While the official notification is anticipated to be released during the first or second week of October 2026, the examination body has already confirmed that the computer-based test will take place on February 7, 2027. This national-level entrance exam serves as a primary gateway for students seeking admission into various AICTE-affiliated business schools across India.

As the application window approaches, prospective candidates are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the necessary requirements and the online application procedure. The NTA will host the registration portal at their official website, cmat.nta.nic.in, where students will be required to create an account to begin their submission.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

Before the application portal goes live, candidates should ensure they meet the established eligibility criteria. The CMAT is open to any individual who holds a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university. Furthermore, students currently in their final year of graduation are eligible to apply. Notably, there is no age restriction for candidates appearing for the examination, making it accessible to a wide range of management aspirants.

To complete the application process, students must have specific documentation prepared. This includes a valid identity proof, a recent passport-size photograph, and a scanned copy of their signature. The application process involves registering with personal details, such as an email address and mobile number, followed by the submission of academic qualifications and the selection of preferred examination city centres.

Application Fee Structure

The NTA has outlined a category-wise fee structure for the CMAT 2027 examination. For male candidates in the General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories, the application fee is set at INR 2,500. For female candidates in these categories, as well as all candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PWD categories, the fee is INR 1,250. Transgender candidates are also required to pay an application fee of INR 1,250. The final step of the application process requires candidates to pay these fees online before submitting their completed forms.
