The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to launch the registration process for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2027 in the near future. As a primary gateway for students aspiring to pursue MBA and various management-related programmes, the examination serves as a critical milestone for entry into AICTE-approved institutions, university departments, and affiliated colleges across the country.

While the official notification and the application portal are yet to be activated, candidates are encouraged to prepare their documentation in advance. Once the process commences, the registration link will be hosted on the official NTA website at cmat.nta.nic.in. The forthcoming notification will provide comprehensive details, including the final application deadlines, specific eligibility criteria, the examination pattern, and formal instructions for completing the online submission.

Examination Schedule and Application Procedures

According to the currently announced schedule, the CMAT 2027 examination is slated to be conducted on February 7, 2027. The test will be held in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, assessing candidates across key sections including English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

When the application window opens, candidates will need to navigate to the official NTA portal to initiate their registration. The process involves selecting the new candidate registration option, providing valid contact details such as an email ID and mobile number, and generating login credentials. Following this, applicants must input their personal, academic, and communication details, upload the required scanned documents—including a photograph and signature—and select their preferred examination cities. The final step requires the payment of the application fee to successfully submit the form.

Essential Documentation and Fee Structure

To ensure a smooth application experience, candidates should have several documents readily available. These include academic records from Class 10 and Class 12, graduation marksheets where applicable, and relevant category or PwD/PwBD certificates. A valid email address and mobile number are also mandatory for all correspondence throughout the admission cycle.

Regarding the application fees, the NTA is expected to maintain a structure consistent with previous years, though final confirmation will be provided in the official information bulletin. Historically, the fee for General category male candidates has been INR 2500, while a reduced fee of INR 1250 has been applicable for female candidates, Gen-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC/ST, PwD/PwBD, and third-gender applicants. Candidates should note that additional bank processing charges and GST may apply during the transaction. It is advised that all applicants verify the final fee details against the official notification once it is released on the NTA website.
