COMEDK 2026 Counseling: Deadline for Round 1 Decision-Making and Fee Payment Extended to 5 PM Today

The ongoing round 1 counselling for the COMEDK UGET 2026 has seen an extension in the deadline for decision making and fee payment, providing candidates with additional time to complete their processes. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) announced the seat allotment results on July 28, prompting the opening of the portal for downloading seat allotment letters and making decisions regarding seat acceptance.

Initially set to close at 3 PM, the deadline for decision making and fee payment has now been extended to 5 PM today. Candidates who have been allotted seats in this round are presented with four options: Accept & Freeze, Accept & Upgrade, Reject & Upgrade, or Reject & Withdraw. Each option requires candidates to pay the necessary fees online to proceed with the counselling process.

For those opting to 'Accept & Freeze', 'Accept & Upgrade', or 'Reject & Upgrade', the total college fee must be paid to continue in the counselling process. In cases where candidates choose 'Accept and Upgrade' or 'Reject and Upgrade', the fees paid during decision making will be adjusted according to the total fees applicable for the college and course allotted in subsequent rounds. If the fees increase in later rounds, candidates will need to pay the difference; conversely, if the fees decrease, excess payments will be refunded by COMEDK within 15 days after the counselling concludes.

This year, the COMEDK UGET counselling process includes four rounds, with approximately 20,000 seats available for allocation. The seat matrix is released at the beginning of the counselling process, allowing candidates to understand their options. The registration fee for the COMEDK UGET counselling is set at Rs 2000, which is non-refundable.
