Delhi University stands as a leading institution of academic excellence in India, representing a premier educational institution that attracts applicants from every corner of the country. Renowned for its rich history, diverse academic offerings, and distinguished faculty, the University provides a compelling reason for aspiring students to seek admission within its esteemed halls. For this year's admission process Delhi university has declared that the subjects chosen in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG need to be the same as the subjects the student had in their Class 12 examinations. This seems to be a crucial factor for determining who is eligible for admission. Rules for this year admission process: The candidate must be a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). For admission to Undergraduate Programs at University of Delhi, all candidates (including those applying under supernumerary quota) must register for CUET (UG)-2025 at cuet.nta.nic.in For seat allocations and admissions, candidates must apply to the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS(UG)-2025) of University of Delhi. In the official admission information brochure, DU explained that if a subject studied in Class 12 is not available in CUET, students should choose a related subject or the admission will be cancelled if the subjects they have chosen to give CUET are not matching with their 12th standard. For example, if a student has studied Chemistry, they should appear for the Chemistry exam in CUET. The syllabus of the chosen CUET subject must match at least 50 per cent with the Class 12 subject. Delhi University will determine subject similarity, and its decision will be final.
