As part of the updated registration process, candidates are required to ensure their DigiLocker accounts are current, as registration through DigiLocker is mandatory for all Indian nationals. This step is crucial for streamlining the application process and ensuring that all necessary documents are readily available for submission.
To apply for GATE 2027, candidates should follow a straightforward procedure. They must first visit the official GATE 2027 website and click on the application form portal link. After registering and obtaining a GATE enrollment ID, candidates can log in to fill out the required details, upload necessary documents, and pay the registration fees before submitting the form. It is advisable for candidates to print a copy of their application for future reference.
The registration fees for GATE 2027 vary based on the candidate's category and the timing of the application. During the regular application period, female candidates, as well as those from SC, ST, and PwD categories, will be charged INR 1,000 per test paper, while all other candidates, including foreign nationals, will pay INR 2,000. For those applying during the extended period, the fees will increase to INR 1,500 and INR 2,500, respectively.
When completing the GATE application form, candidates must upload a recent photograph, signature, and a valid ID proof according to the specified guidelines. Additionally, candidates belonging to the PwD category or those with dyslexia are required to submit relevant documentation to support their application. This comprehensive approach aims to facilitate a smooth registration process for all candidates aspiring to take the GATE 2027 examination.
