The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially announced an extension for the submission of examination forms for the upcoming December 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE). This update applies to all students currently enrolled in both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes offered by the university.

The decision to extend the window for form submission was made following the approval of the university's competent authority. This extension aims to provide students with additional time to complete their necessary academic formalities and ensure their participation in the upcoming examination cycle.

Revised Submission Schedule and Late Fee Details

Under the revised schedule, students have been granted a primary window to submit their examination forms without incurring any additional financial penalty. The deadline for submitting these forms without a late fee is October 7, 2026. It is advised that students complete their applications by this date to avoid the extra costs associated with the late submission period.

For those who are unable to meet the initial deadline, the university has provided a secondary window. Students may continue to submit their examination forms from October 8, 2026, through October 15, 2026. However, it is important to note that this extended period is not fee-free. Applicants who submit their forms during this timeframe will be required to pay a late fee of INR 1,100 in addition to the standard examination fees.

The university has emphasized that this extension is applicable to all eligible candidates appearing for the December 2026 TEE. Before proceeding with the online form submission, students are encouraged to verify that they have met all relevant eligibility requirements and completed the necessary course-related formalities. By adhering to these timelines, students can ensure their registration for the December 2026 examinations is processed successfully.
