The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has achieved a significant milestone in the latest Financial Times (FT) Executive MBA Ranking 2026. The institution's Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) has been recognized as one of the top 10 programmes globally for salary increases, marking a notable improvement in its performance on the international stage.
Designed specifically for working professionals, the two-year PGPEM programme recorded a substantial 102% salary growth for its alumni. This figure represents a marked increase from the 82% growth reported in the previous ranking cycle, highlighting the programme's effectiveness in enhancing the career trajectories and earning potential of its graduates.
In the overall 2026 rankings, IIM Bangalore’s PGPEM secured the 64th position globally and the second position within India. A key highlight of this year's performance is that IIM Bangalore stands as the only Indian business school to feature in the global top 10 list for salary increases. According to the data, the average salary of alumni three years after graduation has reached US$285,934.
The Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking methodology relies on a combination of institutional data and feedback provided by alumni. The evaluation process assesses several critical parameters, including current salary levels, the percentage of salary increase, overall career progress, the extent of work experience, the achievement of professional aims, and the quality and reach of the alumni network.
The recognition underscores the programme's role in supporting mid-career professionals who seek to advance their management expertise while remaining in the workforce. By focusing on practical enterprise management, the curriculum aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world executive challenges. The consistent growth in alumni salary metrics serves as a primary indicator of the programme's alignment with industry demands and the evolving needs of the global business landscape.
