IIM Kozhikode Introduces Executive Course on Product Innovation Featuring AI and Agentic AI

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has announced the opening of applications for its Executive Programme in Product Innovation, focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Agentic AI. This comprehensive 20-week course is designed for professionals eager to enhance their skills in building AI-driven products. Participants will gain hands-on experience with 20 industry-relevant tools, equipping them to create intelligent and autonomous systems through advanced training.

The launch of this program comes at a time when AI is fundamentally transforming product development across various sectors. Companies increasingly expect their workforce to possess the skills necessary to develop smart tools and solutions. The Executive Programme in Product Innovation with AI & Agentic AI aims to prepare the next generation of product builders who can meet these evolving demands in the marketplace.

According to the McKinsey State of AI Report 2025, a significant 88% of organizations now utilize AI in at least one business function, a notable increase from 55% just a year prior. Furthermore, the report highlights that 51% of AI product teams are currently engaged in developing agentic AI products, a substantial rise from 21% in 2024. This shift underscores the growing necessity for professionals to be adept in AI technologies, as AI-powered products transition from being a trend to a competitive imperative.

The curriculum of the course integrates product design with generative AI and agentic AI, ensuring that students not only learn theoretical concepts but also engage in practical applications. Participants will undertake five small projects and complete a significant final project, allowing them to build a robust portfolio that showcases their capabilities to potential employers.
