IIM Tiruchirappalli marked the inauguration of Dhruva 2025, its flagship annual business and cultural fest, on January 31, 2025, with great enthusiasm. The event was honored by the presence of Air Marshal Anil Khosla, Former Vice Chief of the Air Staff, as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Godwin Tennyson, Director (Acting) of IIM Tiruchirappalli, presided over the occasion.
The ceremony commenced with the Secretary of Team Dhruva presenting bouquets to the Acting Director and the Chief Guest. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge, enlightenment, and the essence of Dhruva.
During his Inaugural Address, Air Marshal Anil Khosla provided valuable perspectives on leadership and management. He emphasized strategic planning and discussed the role of Just-In-Time (JIT) training modules in enhancing operational efficiency. Drawing from his extensive experience, he elaborated on key leadership qualities such as meticulous planning, vision, risk-taking, and decision-making. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of crisis management, teamwork, and resilience, inspiring attendees to embrace challenges with determination.
In his Presidential Address, Dr. Godwin Tennyson spoke about the rich learning opportunities Dhruva offers. He elaborated on the impact of Industry 4.0 on the business landscape and stressed the necessity of adaptability to maintain competitiveness. Encouraging students to actively participate in Dhruva’s events, he emphasized that the experience would provide valuable insights contributing to both personal and professional development.
The event concluded with Tejun Verma, Secretary of the Cultural Committee, delivering a vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Acting Director, administration, faculty, and students for their support and contributions. The ceremony wrapped up with the rendition of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among the attendees.
