Admission Process

 Admission to IIT Kanpur is highly competitive and is primarily based on national entrance examinations:
  • Undergraduate Admissions: Candidates must qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced. Eligibility requires completion of 10+2 education with a minimum aggregate of 75%.
  • Postgraduate Admissions: For M.Tech and M.Des programs, candidates need valid scores in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). MBA aspirants must have a valid Common Admission Test (CAT) score, followed by group discussions and personal interviews. Ph.D. admissions consider GATE, UGC NET, or JRF scores.
