The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially released the list of medical seats that remained unfilled following the conclusion of the third round of the Karnataka UGNEET 2026 seat allotment process. This publication provides essential data for candidates preparing for the next phase of the admission cycle, specifically the Stray Vacancy Round.
According to the data released by the KEA, a total of 664 MBBS seats are currently reported as vacant across 34 private medical colleges within the state. This list serves as a critical resource for students seeking admission to medical courses, allowing them to review available institutional options before the final stages of the counselling process commence.
The KEA has clarified that the current vacancy list represents the status of seats following the completion of the third round of allotments. However, the authority noted that the final number of seats available for the Stray Vacancy Round may fluctuate. Any additional seats that become vacant due to cancellations or forfeitures by candidates will be added to the existing pool of vacancies before the next round of seat allocation begins.
Several institutions have reported varying numbers of unfilled seats. For instance, the Srinivasa Institute of Medical Research Centre currently has 74 vacancies, while the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and the Navodaya Medical College have 35 and 33 vacant seats, respectively. Other institutions, such as the M.V.J. Medical College and Research Hospital and the J.J.M. Medical College, also feature on the list with significant remaining capacity.
To access the comprehensive list of college-wise vacancies, candidates should visit the official KEA website and navigate to the UGNEET 2026 section. The document, titled regarding medical seats remaining unfilled after the third round, is available in PDF format. Candidates are advised to download and review this document to understand the current seat distribution across the participating private medical colleges. The KEA will provide further updates regarding the schedule and procedures for the Stray Vacancy Round in due course.
