The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is preparing to initiate the document verification process for candidates applying through the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET). This verification will encompass candidates from various categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and General category applicants. Historically, the PGCET claim slip was issued based on the documents submitted during the registration phase, and details regarding the upcoming verification process are crucial for candidates as they prepare for the option entry stage.

The document verification process is a vital step in the KEA PGCET counselling procedure, which will commence shortly after the verification is completed. The verification for MTech, MArch, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-Defence quota applicants has already concluded. However, it remains uncertain whether KEA will conduct a separate verification for candidates seeking admission into MBA, MCA, and other postgraduate programs. Candidates must present original certificates along with self-attested photocopies during the verification process, which will take place at designated KEA helpline centres across the state.

During the verification, officials will validate candidates' credentials against official records. Once a candidate meets all eligibility criteria, they will receive a KEA Verification Slip, also referred to as the Karnataka PGCET claim slip. This slip serves as an acknowledgment receipt and includes a unique Secret Key necessary for accessing the central counselling portal. Candidates who obtain this verification slip will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

In previous years, KEA directly issued the Karnataka PGCET claim slip to all candidates following the verification of PwD and Ex-Defence quota candidates. An official announcement regarding the document verification and claim slip issuance for the current cycle is expected soon. Typically, the results of the Karnataka PGCET are released within a month of the examination date, and candidates can access their scorecards online.

The Karnataka PGCET scorecard contains essential details that candidates must verify against their application information. Any discrepancies in the scorecard could result in the denial of admission, regardless of the scores achieved. Candidates are advised to check their results using their CET number on the official website, as this is the only method available for accessing PGCET results. For further updates on education news, including exam results, schedules, and admission processes, candidates are encouraged to stay informed through official channels.
