The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) in Kerala has officially commenced the second phase of option entry and registration for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026 academic session. Students participating in the state-level NEET UG counselling process are now required to log in to the official portal to manage their preferences for the upcoming allotment round.
To remain eligible for higher-order MBBS or BDS options in the second phase, candidates must complete the online option confirmation process no later than 10 AM on September 11, 2026. This requirement applies to all eligible participants, including those who secured a seat in the first phase and those who are yet to receive an allotment.
Candidates can access the option confirmation facility by visiting the official CEE Kerala website and logging into the KEAM 2026 Candidate Portal using their application number, password, and access code. Once logged in, students must click the 'Confirm' button to proceed. After confirmation, the portal allows candidates to rearrange their higher-order preferences or remove any colleges and courses they no longer wish to pursue.
It is important to note that failing to complete the online confirmation will result in the candidate not being considered for higher-order options during the second phase. However, any seat already secured by a candidate during the first phase will be retained if they choose not to participate in the second round. Students who have already taken admission but wish to vacate their seat must do so by 5 PM on September 10, 2026, though they will subsequently be ineligible for further rounds of centralised allotment.
Following the conclusion of the option entry window, the provisional result for the second phase of allotment is scheduled for release on September 11, 2026, with the final allotment to follow on September 12, 2026. Students who receive an allotment must complete the admission process and pay the required fees at their respective colleges between September 14 and September 18, 2026, by 4 PM. Colleges are then required to submit the final list of admitted candidates through the Online Admission Management System (OAMS) by 5 PM on September 18, 2026.
Additionally, CEE Kerala has opened the registration process for NRI Quota seats in self-financing medical and dental colleges. Only candidates who appear on the official NRI Category List are eligible to apply for these seats. For those allotted seats in government institutions, fees must be paid directly to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, while students allotted to self-financing colleges should pay the fee or balance as specified in their individual allotment memo to the respective institution.
