The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced a revised schedule for the first round of Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for MBBS and BDS programs for the academic year 2026. This update follows an extension granted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) concerning the All India Quota counselling. Candidates who are registered for the Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 can now check the updated dates for the admission process.
According to the official notice, candidates whose names appeared on the provisional merit list released on August 18 are allowed to submit grievances regarding their rankings between August 19 and 20, until 5 PM. It is important to note that this will be the only opportunity for candidates to raise any concerns, as no further grievance submission will be permitted at a later stage.
For those who have not yet registered, the CET Cell has opened a window for online registration from August 20 to 21, with a deadline set for 8 PM. During this period, candidates must also upload and submit all required documents. Failure to do so by the deadline of August 21 at 11:59 PM will result in disqualification from the admission process and the claimed category.
The revised schedule includes several key dates: the grievance period for the provisional merit list will run from August 19 to 20, while the online registration and document submission will take place on August 20 and 21. The online document verification and the release of the revised registered candidate list, along with the provisional merit list, are scheduled for August 23. Additionally, the final merit list and seat matrix will be published on August 25.
Following the release of the final merit list, candidates will have the opportunity to fill in their choices and preferences from August 26 to 29, with the CAP Round 1 seat allotment set for August 30. Physical joining at the allotted colleges will take place from August 31 to September 4, concluding at 5:30 PM. The CET Cell emphasizes the importance of adhering to these timelines to ensure a smooth admission process for all candidates.
