NEET UG 2026: MCC Portal Revamped with Anticipated Official Notification PDF and Upcoming Round 1 Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has made significant updates to its NEET UG 2026 counselling portal, signaling that the official notification and Round 1 registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) may be announced soon. This development has generated optimism among prospective medical students regarding the commencement of admissions for MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses under the All India Quota (AIQ). Although the detailed counselling dates have yet to be released, the updated portal now features information on NEET admissions and e-Counselling Services for the 2026 session, along with recent public notices and candidate information.

The MCC's website update is viewed as a precursor to the official NEET UG counselling notification, which is anticipated to include crucial details such as Round 1 registration dates, choice filling and locking schedules, seat allotment timelines, reporting dates, eligibility criteria, counselling fees, and the seat matrix release schedule. Currently, the Candidate Activity Board on the MCC portal indicates that the counselling schedule is still marked as "Will Update Soon," but the recent changes suggest that the announcement could be imminent.

Reports indicate that the NEET UG Round 1 counselling may commence in the first week of August, although no official dates have been confirmed by the MCC.
