Deadline for MHT CET 2026 Option Entry is Today; Review Seat Matrix for Leading Government Institutions

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 Centralized Admission Process (CAP) round 1 option entry concludes today, July 30. Candidates who have successfully qualified for the counseling process are urged to finalize their college and branch preferences. This option entry phase commenced on July 28, following the release of the final merit list and the provisional seat matrix categorized by various criteria.

In a notable development, the engineering admission landscape has expanded significantly this year. A total of 380 participating institutes are offering 192,180 engineering seats, marking an increase from 372 institutes and 177,985 seats in the previous year. The Computer Science Engineering (CSE) program has seen the most substantial rise in demand, reflecting the growing interest in technology-related fields among prospective students.

Candidates are encouraged to review the official seat matrix for the MHT CET CAP 2026 to make informed decisions regarding their preferences. Among the most sought-after government engineering colleges are the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), the College of Engineering Pune (COEP Tech), and the Government College of Engineering Amravati. The seat allotment results for MHT CET 2026 CAP round 1 will be announced on August 2. The allotment process will be determined by candidates' merit scores in the MHT CET 2026 and the order of preferences they selected during the option entry.
