The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially released the results for the MHT CET CAP Round 1 seat allotment for the year 2026, marking a significant step in the admission process for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programs. Candidates who participated in this initial round of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) can now access the official admission portal at fe2026.mahacet.org to view their allotted college and branch.

The seat allotment results are determined based on several factors, including candidates' MHT CET or JEE Main merit ranks, category, reservation policies, seat availability, and the preferences indicated during the choice-filling process. Once the results are available, candidates are encouraged to verify their allotment details meticulously and complete the online seat acceptance process within the specified timeframe.

Upon accepting their allotted seat, candidates must report to the designated institute with the required documents and admission fee to finalize their enrollment. For those considering betterment options, there is an opportunity to select this preference during the seat acceptance phase, allowing them to participate in subsequent CAP rounds in accordance with the established counseling guidelines.

Students are advised to download and retain a copy of their allotment letter and ensure that all admission procedures are completed before the deadline set by the CET Cell. Candidates who do not secure a seat in Round 1 or wish to upgrade their options can participate in the upcoming CAP rounds as per the counseling schedule.

This year, the MHT CET engineering counseling process involves 380 participating institutes, offering a total of 192,180 BE/BTech seats. This represents an increase from the previous year, which had 372 institutes and 177,985 available seats. As the admission process unfolds, candidates are encouraged to stay informed about the latest updates regarding exam results, admission dates, and other educational news.
