Candidates participating in the Madhya Pradesh NEET PG 2026 counselling process have until the end of today, October 27, 2026, to complete their choice filling and locking for the first round of admissions. This critical phase allows eligible students, who have successfully secured a place on the state merit list, to submit their preferred medical colleges for MD and MS programmes.
The Department of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has made the online portal available for this purpose at dme.mponline.gov.in. Applicants are advised to access their candidate login to finalize their selections before the midnight deadline. It is essential for students to review the official seat matrix to understand the availability of seats across government medical colleges, private universities, and minority institutions within the state before submitting their final preferences.
The choice locking mechanism is a mandatory requirement for all participants. The DME has explicitly stated that any choices left in an unlocked state will be considered null and void, effectively excluding those candidates from the seat allotment process. Therefore, students are encouraged to verify their selections and complete the locking procedure well before the portal closes tonight.
Once the submission window concludes, the authorities will process the data to determine seat allocations. The official results for the round 1 seat allotment are scheduled to be published on October 29, 2026. Following the announcement of the results, candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to proceed with the reporting process. This reporting window is set to remain open from October 30, 2026, through November 10, 2026.
In addition to the reporting schedule, the Department of Medical Education has confirmed that the window for seat resignation and cancellation will also run concurrently with the reporting phase, from October 30 to November 10, 2026. Candidates are advised to keep track of these dates to ensure they comply with all procedural requirements set by the state admission board. All further updates regarding the counselling schedule will be provided through the official DME portal as the admission process progresses.
