The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has officially announced the launch of a new online diploma course focused on the teaching of science at the middle school level. Designed specifically for the 2026-27 academic session, this professional development initiative aims to enhance the pedagogical capabilities and subject-matter expertise of educators currently teaching or planning to teach science to students in grades 6 through 8.
The program is structured as a 40-week online course, providing a flexible learning environment for teachers across the country. By participating in this curriculum, educators are expected to refine their daily classroom instructional techniques, ultimately helping students grasp complex scientific concepts with greater clarity and engagement.
Prospective candidates can begin the registration process starting October 12, 2026. All applications must be submitted through the official portal at ncertx.in. The application window is scheduled to remain open for one month, with the final deadline for submissions set for November 12, 2026. Interested applicants are required to pay an application fee of INR 2,000 to complete their enrollment.
Following the conclusion of the registration period, the academic program is slated to commence on November 16, 2026. Given the structured nature of the course, officials have encouraged applicants to complete their registration well in advance of the November deadline to prevent any potential technical issues or last-minute discrepancies that could hinder the enrollment process.
