NID Andhra Pradesh 2025: Courses, Admission Criteria, Fees, and Placement Overview

NID Andhra Pradesh is committed to providing top-notch design education and encouraging innovation in the industry as an Institute of National Importance. Early in 2024, the institute moved to Sakhamuru Village, Amaravati, to its permanent 50-acre campus.

NID Andhra Pradesh offers a four-year full-time Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program with the following specializations:

• Industrial Design
• Communication Design
• Textile & Apparel Design

Each specialization has an intake of 25 students, totaling 75 seats annually.

Admission Criteria

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.

Entrance Examination: Admission is based on the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which comprises two stages:

1. DAT Prelims: A written test assessing design aptitude.
2. DAT Mains: A studio test evaluating hands-on skills.

Candidates are shortlisted for DAT Mains based on their performance in DAT Prelims.

Fee Structure

The fee structure for the B.Des program at NID Andhra Pradesh is approximately Rs 7.51 lakhs for the entire course. This includes tuition fees, hostel charges, and other applicable fees.

NID Andhra Pradesh has a dedicated placement cell that facilitates internships and job opportunities for students. The institute organizes annual placement drives, inviting reputed companies from various sectors. While specific placement statistics are not publicly disclosed, students have secured positions in leading design firms, multinational corporations, and government organizations.
