The National Testing Agency (NTA) is preparing to finalise the schedule for the second session of the JEE Main 2027 examination. In an effort to minimise scheduling conflicts for students appearing for multiple national-level entrance tests, the agency intends to align the Session 2 dates with the upcoming schedules for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG).

While the dates for the first session have already been confirmed, the specific timeline for the second session remains under consideration. The NTA is expected to release the official dates for the second phase in due course, following a review of the broader academic calendar for other major competitive examinations.

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Schedule and Registration

The NTA has officially confirmed that the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 examinations will take place in January 2027. The testing window is scheduled for January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30, with January 31 designated as a buffer day. Although the examination dates are set, the registration portal for these tests has not yet opened.

Prospective candidates are advised to monitor the official JEE Main website regularly for the release of the information bulletin and the commencement of the application process. Based on previous academic cycles, the registration window is anticipated to open in the coming weeks. Once the application process begins, students will be required to submit their personal and academic details, upload necessary documentation, and complete the payment of the application fee.

Preparation for the Application Process

To ensure a smooth registration experience, applicants are encouraged to have essential documents prepared in advance. This includes valid Aadhaar details, recent passport-sized photographs, a digital signature, and any applicable category certificates. Detailed instructions regarding the application procedure, eligibility criteria, and examination requirements will be outlined in the official Information Bulletin, which will be published by the NTA on its official portal.

While the second session is traditionally held in April, students are cautioned to wait for the formal announcement from the NTA regarding the exact dates for the 2027 cycle. The agency's commitment to coordinating these dates reflects a broader strategy to assist students in managing the demands of multiple high-stakes entrance examinations during the spring season.
