Odisha NEET UG Counseling 2026: OJEE Modifies Round 1 Timeline Once More; Choice Submission Period Extended

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has announced a revised schedule for the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 State Quota counselling, extending the deadline for choice filling until August 22, 2026. This adjustment comes in response to recent changes in the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) All India Quota counselling calendar, which were communicated on August 19, 2026. The updated timeline aims to accommodate all candidates registered in the Odisha State Merit List, allowing them to complete their choice filling process.

According to the latest notification from the OJEE, candidates can fill their choices from August 14 at 8:30 PM until the new deadline of August 22 at 5:00 PM. Following this period, choice locking will commence on August 22 at 11:30 AM. The committee has emphasized that all other counselling activities will proceed according to the original State Quota schedule, with the only changes being to the dates for the Round 1 choice filling.

The revised counselling schedule includes several key dates: the reconciliation of data will take place on August 23, followed by the provisional seat allotment announcement on August 24 at 2:00 PM. Candidates will have the opportunity to submit queries regarding the provisional allotment on August 25 until 2:00 PM. The final Round 1 allotment and the allotment letter download will be available on August 26 at 11:30 AM.

Additionally, candidates are required to complete fee payment and report with their original documents at the OJEE Cell in Gandamunda between August 28 and the specified reporting dates. Detailed guidelines and the college-wise reporting schedule will be released separately prior to the commencement of admissions, ensuring that candidates are well-informed throughout the process.
