The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) has officially announced the schedule for the Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2026, which is now available on its website, ojee.nic.in. This counselling process is crucial for candidates seeking admission to the 85% quota seats in MBBS and BDS programs at both government and private medical colleges across Odisha. The released schedule outlines key dates for registration, choice filling, document verification, and admission procedures, ensuring that candidates are well-informed about the upcoming steps in the admission process.
According to the OJEE announcement, the registration and online application period will commence on August 6, 2026, and will remain open until August 10, 2026. During this time, candidates are required to upload necessary documents for online verification. Additionally, eligible candidates with disabilities must attend the Medical Assessment Board at SCB Medical College in Cuttack on August 10 and 11, while those in the economically weaker section (EWS) must report to the EWS board at Rajya Sainik Board, Bhubaneswar, on the same dates.
The provisional State Merit List of registered candidates will be published on August 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM, followed by a window for candidates to raise queries regarding the merit list until 11:30 AM on August 14. The final State Merit List will be released later that day at 5:00 PM, after which choice filling for all merit-listed candidates will open from 8:30 PM on August 14 until 11:59 PM on August 17.
Subsequent rounds of counselling will follow a structured timeline, with the first round of provisional allotments scheduled for August 19, 2026. Candidates will have the opportunity to address any queries related to the provisional allotment on August 20, and the official allotment results will be published on August 22. The admission process will require candidates to pay their fees and report to the OJEE Cell in Gandamunda with original documents from August 23 to 28.
For those who do not secure a seat in the first round, the second round of counselling will begin with registration on August 31, 2026, and will include a revised merit list and further choice filling. The entire counselling process will be conducted online, and candidates are encouraged to stay updated with the latest information regarding their admissions.
