RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam 2026 Schedule Announced: Check Dates and Aadhaar Requirements

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the examination schedule for the first stage of the Computer Based Test (CBT 1) for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) recruitment, conducted under CEN 01/2026. According to the latest notification, the examination is slated to be held from November 3 to 5, 2026.

Candidates who have successfully registered for the recruitment process are eligible to appear for the test. As the examination dates approach, the boards have outlined specific procedures regarding the release of exam-related documents and mandatory identification protocols to ensure a smooth testing process for all applicants.

Exam Schedule and Intimation Details

The RRBs have clarified the timeline for the release of essential examination documents. The exam city intimation slips, which allow candidates to view their assigned examination centers, will be made available 10 days before the scheduled exam date. It is important for candidates to note that the city intimation slip is not the final admit card; the official admit cards for the CBT 1 will be released four days prior to the examination date.

For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, the city intimation facility will also include the necessary Travel Authority. Candidates are advised to monitor the official websites of their respective regional railway boards to download these documents once they are released.

Mandatory Aadhaar Authentication Protocols

A significant update for this year's examination involves strict Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication. All candidates are required to undergo this verification process at their designated examination centers. To facilitate this, candidates must carry their original Aadhaar card or a printout of their e-verified Aadhaar to the venue.

The boards have further advised that candidates who have not yet completed their Aadhaar verification should do so by logging into the official recruitment portal at rrbapply.gov.in. Additionally, for those who have already completed the verification process, it is recommended to ensure that their Aadhaar remains in an unlocked state within the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) system. Failure to maintain an unlocked status or provide the correct documentation may impact the entry process at the examination center.
